Voice of Sango (Lake Victoria)
Civicus · Norad Space Grant
Amazon Theatrix Ensemble partnered with Civicus under the Norad Space Grant to create Voice of Sango — a powerful, youth-led theatre and arts project rooted in the communities surrounding Lake Victoria. Through performance, storytelling, and civic engagement, the project amplified voices on environmental conservation, fishing community rights, and civic participation. Young people became agents of change, using the arts to hold dialogues, raise awareness, and inspire action across lakeshore communities in Kisumu County.
Kisumu Artist “My Art, My Heart”
SHOFCO
In partnership with SHOFCO (Shining Hope for Communities), the Kisumu Artist “My Art, My Heart” project empowered young people in informal settlements to discover and develop their creative potential. Through music, visual arts, theatre, and entrepreneurship training, participants transformed personal experiences into artistic expression — and artistic expression into livelihoods.

Tiko (Africa) Project
Tiko Africa
The Tiko Africa Project brought Amazon Theatrix Ensemble together with Tiko Africa to deliver interactive, arts-based life skills and health education to young people. Through drama, roleplay, and creative workshops, participants explored themes of reproductive health, personal responsibility, peer influence, and leadership.
Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW)
YSW Kenya
In collaboration with YSW Kenya, Amazon Theatrix Ensemble designed and delivered a peer education programme focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), leadership, and life skills. Trained young peer educators became powerful change-makers in their own communities — delivering performances, facilitating conversations, and equipping fellow youth with accurate information.
My Warrior, My Pride
JANAM Experience
My Warrior, My Pride is a groundbreaking advocacy project developed with the JANAM Experience to raise awareness and reduce stigma around Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) in Kenya. Through theatre performances, community dialogues, and creative storytelling, the project gave voice to individuals and families living with SCD — turning personal battles into public conversations.
